James Murphy hasn’t been resting on his laurels since his band LCD Soundystem broke up. He’s recording with Arcade Fire, giving music lectures and even designing his very own soundsystem. But now he’s going to focus his attention on creating original music for an upcoming Broadway play.
The stage adaptation of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal is a project helmed by Mike Nichols, who has enlisted Murphy to take care of the soundtracking side of things.
It’s set to preview and open during October and will feature Rachel Weisz and David Craig in the lead roles. Photos of rehearsals can be found here.
