James Bay is BBC Sound Of 2015 runner-up
James Bay - who recently won the BRITS Critics' Choice award - has been named runner-up in this year's BBC Sound Of shortlist, the fourth solo male artist in the list of four.
The twentysomething acoustic-blues singer-songwriter, tipped to slot alongside the ranks of Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Hozier, has already been tipped for many things recently,
Speaking to the BBC about his latest accolade, he said:
"Do you know what I want to do when [this] stuff comes in? I just want to prove I'm worth it. It's a big old world, and there's probably people going "well I think so-and-so should have won it". So I want to show my worth."
He follows George The Poet, Raury and Stormzy on the shortlist, with the ultimate winner being announced tomorrow (9 January).
