Jade Bird has made her return with new single "Headstart", her first release of 2020.
"Headstart" follows on from Bird's appearance on Brent Cobb's "Feet Off the Ground" in September 2019.
The new song was written at the start of the year, and is her first solo release since last year's self-titled debut album.
Bird says of her new song, ""Headstart" came out of a trip I made to upstate New York at the beginning of the year. It’s quite a light-hearted song, about liking someone who just can’t see the signs, and releasing it feels like a way to give a bit of joy to the end of the year. It feels like community to me, and it makes me want to sing again."
Jade Bird's "Headstart" single is out now on Glassnote Records.
