Jack White announces plans to record, press and release new single in one single day
Jack White likes doing things a little bit differently and now ahead of his new album release, he’s aiming to release a new single the exact same day he recorded it.
As Consequence Of Sound report, the former White Stripes man will record, press and release his new album title-track “Lazaretto” on Record Store Day come 19 April.
The process will begin at his Third Man Records store in Nashville, where he’ll record the single on 45. The recording will then be mastered and pressed at United Record Pressing before being shipped back for customers.
“As long as there are fans in line waiting to buy the single, United will continue to press and deliver them to Third Man to sell,” White said of his extravagant plans. “Even if it takes all day.”
Meanwhile, White’s new album will be released in June.
