J-Pop singer shaves head after boyfriend scandal

You thought the Jonas Brothers purity ring thing was a bit too much? Well, a Japanese popstar has shaved her head in response to a media furore over claims she’d spent the night with her boyfriend.
Singer Minami Minegishi, of J-Pop girl-group AKB48, found herself in the middle of a nationwide scandal when Japanese magazine Shukan Bunshun published an exposé claiming that she’d broken the band’s “no dating” rule with boyfriend Aran Shirahama.
Minegishi later issued an apology, stating : “I am so sorry for the trouble I’ve caused. I will try to be better in future”, before shaving her head to show just how sorry she was.
