J.J Abrams reveals new indie label Loud Robot
Writer, director, and producer J.J. Abrams has launched his own record label called Loud Robot.
The world of film meets music yet again with a bizarre twist.
J.J. Abrams, director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Super 8, and producer of Mission Impossible: Fallout, Lost, Star Trek, Westworld and many more, has announced that he's launching his own record label.
Loud Robot will be an indie label launched by Abrams' production company Bad Robot, partnered with Capitol Music Group.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the new label venture will pursue quick collaborations through a mixture of established and rising artists using traditional A&R practice.
The musical venture will allow Abrams to use original music from his label to soundtrack upcoming films, TV projects and video games, which will be through his recently launched Bad Robot Games.
Abrams' music industry venture means he's welcomed McKee Floyd, who is the former head of marketing at Glassnote Entertainment Group (Mumford & Sons, Childish Gambino, Phoenix and Chvrches), Nicky Berger, who founded Berger Management and co-founded Fort William Artist Management (Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes and The War on Drugs).
