This week sees the release of a posthumous 12″ from the late J Dilla, coming out via Pay Jay. Lead cut ‘Anthem’ and this new track ‘Trucks’ will precede the long-awaited “lost” vocal album The Diary, set to drop later this year.
Having already shared ‘Anthem’, it’s now the turn of it’s b-side to air online. Recorded around 2001/2002, the track samples and, err, changes the words of Gary Numan’s famous hit ‘Cars’. Seems like it’s not only Battles boosting Numan’s rep with the kids, then.
