iTunes Radio to launch during September
Apple’s long-awaited iTunes Radio software is set to finally arrive next month, with its launch confirmed for September.
The tech giants experienced a delay announcing the service after negotiation stalled with leading major labels about royalty costs. Now, however, they will introduce the platform to a U.S market after securing sponsorship from companies like McDonald’s, Pepsi, Nissan, and more.
The service has been compared to rivals Spotify, Deezer and the newly-established Google Play Music, the key difference being that it recommends music based on your existing iTunes library.
“The more you use iTunes Radio and iTunes, the more iTunes Radio knows what you like to listen to,” a press release reads. “And the more personalized your experience becomes.”
