Iggy And The Stooges announce new album 'Ready to Die'
Iggy Pop has announced the release of a new Iggy And The Stooges album, coming this April.
The new record is only the band’s fifth studio release to date, and follows on from 2007′s The Weirdness.
Going by the name Ready To Die, it will be released via Fat Possum Records on 30 April.
Iggy Pop said the following of the release:
“My motivation in making any record with the group at this point is no longer personal. It’s just a pig-headed f**king thing I have that a real f**king group when they’re an older group they also make f**king records. They don’t just go and twiddle around on stage to make a bunch of f**king money…”
