Idris Elba, Peggy Gou, and many more sign up to Bye Bye Plastic's #PlasticFreeParty movement
Idris Elba and Peggy Gou are just two of 1500 DJs that have signed up to Bye Bye Plastic's #PlasticFreeParty movement.
Fatboy Slim, Joy Orbison, Annie Mac, Eats Everything, Ben UFO, Pete Tong, Objekt, Gorgon City, Ge-Ology, and many others are also on board with the project that hopes to reduce the use of single-use plastics at venues and clubs.
The #PlasticFreeParty movement site also has a statement, which highlights that Bye Bye Plastic has a hotline which people can call to explore local plastic alternatives and greener solutions.
Artists that have already signed up to Bye Bye Plastic's new initiative have already been spreading the word, including Eats Everything, who posted on Twitter this morning, "I recently changed my rider to request no single-use plastic is used in the DJ booth at my shows. It's a small step from me but makes a massive difference."
