Ida Mae drop video for title track to debut album Chasing Lights
Blending Delta blues, gritty rock and roll with punk swagger, rootsy Americana duo have released the video for "Chasing Lights" ahead of their debut album release of the same name this July.
"'Chasing Lights' is a metaphor for everything we’ve been after,” Chris Turpin reflects. “For tracing the footsteps of our heroes, for making a life and a living on our own terms.” The video, shot in the Norfolk countryside, was directed by Luke Courtenay Smith & Tim Hyland.
The band have united with legendary producer Ethan Johns for their first album. “Ethan records live and very quickly,” explains Turpin. “He loves the naïve discovery of early takes. It could be terrifying at times, but we always trusted his judgment.”
