Ice Cube is gonna be in the new Disney "adaptation" of Oliver Twist as Fagin. Yes, it'll be a musical.
Consider yo self one of the family, Mr. Cube.
The N.W.A icon-turned-actor/producer will be playing Fagin in an upcoming "modern musical" version directed by Tony-winning director Thomas Kail (Hamilton), reports The Hollywood Reporter. Ice Cube, Marc Platt (Wicked), and Jeff Kwatinetz are producing .
According to "sources", the music will be "crossing many genres, including hip-hop."
Disney have already tried their hand at Charles Dickens' iconic Victorian story once before - 1988's Oliver and Company.
