XL Recordings have announced the signing of French-Cuban twopiece Ibeyi for their debut single.
“Oya” is out now and lends influence from their West African background, as well as modern minimalist electronica. Twins Naomi and Lisa-Kainde Díaz sing in both English and Yoruba, with the band’s very own name translating as “Twins” in their mother tongue.
Take a listen to “Oya” now below and read our Song Of The Day feature on the track.
