Hyd unveils Caroline Polachek-produced track "Afar"
Hyd has unveiled new single "Afar", which was written with, and produced by Caroline Polacheck.
"Afar" is Hyd's first outing since January's cover of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds' "Into My Arms", and saw Hyd unite with Caroline Polachek to co-write and produce the track.
Hyd says of the new single, "The voice in the song is meant to emanate from an imaginedguardian-a presence without a body, an angel next to me. My vision was gone and I had to steam my eyes regularly with hot water vapor, which was the predominant element of thattime for me and this song. Caroline and I started "Afar" in Santa Monica and finished it ather house in Brooklyn. The productions are distilled to feel like a vapor den."
They're yet to follow-up their 2021 self-titled debut EP.
