Hurts unshackle dramatic Romeo and Juliet-inspired single "Rolling Stone"
Hurts deploy gargantuan new single "Rolling Stone" to the world - it's their second single from upcoming LP Surrender, following "Some Kind Of Heaven".
The track is a narrative-led ode, with operatic grandeur - Hurts are clearly not letting anything get in the way of being their true dramatic selves. Wild guitar solos, choirs and dub-lite synths litter the cut, as Theo Hutchcraft flits between jagged auto-tune vox and deafening belting.
It seems to be their reinterpretation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, told in the modern day with a few embellishments - "In Belarus she was a vespertine/she danced the go-go for the Bourgeoisie..."
Third album Surrender is out 9 October via Columbia.
