Ex-Hot Club de Paris vocalist Paul Rafferty unveils debut Doomshakalaka track "Black Balloons"
Paul Rafferty, the former vocalist of Hot Club de Paris, has launched his new Doomshakalaka project with debut single "Black Balloons".
"Black Balloons" is the first single from Doomshakalaka.
Rafferty came up with the name for his new project on his 30th birthday, and went on to compose an album's worth of songs with a similar motif at the centre, "I thought it would sound like being sad at a party or maybe it would sound like being invited to a party and feeling good about not going."
Not only did Rafferty write the songs for his new Doomshakalaka project, he also engineered, produced, and mixed his new material.
Hot Club de Paris released their final album Free The Pterodactyl Three in 2011.
