Hop Along announce new album Painted Shut and share first single
Philadelphia’s Hop Along have announced the release of their second full length album, Painted Shut. The album, released through Saddle Creek, is due for release on 4 May.
The first single from the album, “Waitress”, is now available to stream online and highlights the bands distinct fuzzy guitars and growling vocals.
The album itself touches on subjects such as mental illness, poverty and abuse – yet somehow portrays an irreverent and buoyant sound at times. Recorded and mixed by John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Dinosuar Jr., Sonic Youth), Painted Shut is now available to pre-order on CD and limited edition white and pink haze vinyl.
Hop Along kick-off a mammoth US tour with The War On Drugs this month with UK dates to be announced soon.
