HMV continue their plight to find a niche in the current retail market by announcing an in-store Q&A event from former New Order[/do bassist Peter Hook at their Manchester store.
Hook will appear at his hometown branch on 4 November, with 200 free vinyl copies of the band’s debut album Movement being given away to early customers.
This is the latest attempt by HMV to diversify, following the launch of a new app and more.
HMV initially went into administration back in January, with several stores shutting and many losing their jobs. They were rescued by financial restructuring group Hilco and are currently in the process of transition between proper owners.
