Donald Glover may be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to his Childish Gambino output, but this new demo, labelled "rough" and "unmixed", feels ready for a proper release.
Stuffed with tropical flutters, muzak synths and lavish drizzlings of R&B falsetto, it's a change in direction for the Atlanta creative from Because The Internet's avante-garde hip-hopera alienation. "Sober" will feature on Gambino's STN MTN/KAUAI tape, released at some unconfirmed point in the near future on Gangsta Grillz.
