Guided By Voices have cancelled their plans to play live next year due to “personal reasons”, a decision which means their appearance at Primavera and ATP’s I’ll Be Your Mirror will no longer ahead but the band will not be splitting up. Not only will their new album Let’s Go Eat The Factory be released via Fire Records on 2 January 2012 but the band have revealed they are working on a new record entitled Class Clown Spots A UFO.
The slot they were due to play at ATP’s I’ll Be Your Mirror in May 2012 will now be filled by the newly reunited Cincinnati legends The Afghan Whigs.
