Gucci Mane drops three drug-themed mixtapes, inspired by molly, weed and purple drank
Ever outrageous rapper, Gucci Mane has dropped a trio of high-concept mixtapes – with an emphasis on the high part.
The hip-hop star, who recently turned to acting for a role in Spring Breakers, has released three new full-lengths individually inspired by molly, weed and purple drank respectively. Each narcotic-influenced LP is a part of a series entitled World War 3, a trilogy that finds Georgia’s most wanted collaborating with three producers and exploring the virtues of three different drugs.
The first, subtitled Molly, is the collaboration between Gucci and ‘Karate Chop’ producer Metro Boomin. Mixtape number two is called Lean and sees the rapper gone back to his old ways by joining forces with long-term producer Zaytoven, while the third, titled Gas, which stands for ‘Good Ass Shit’, pits Mane against 808 Mafia’s TM-88.
