Grubs (ft. members of Joanna Gruesome + Trust Fund) announce debut LP, share new single "Windwaker"
Bristol-based trio Grubs have announced debut LP It Must Be Grubs, and are streaming lead cut "Windwaker" in full.
The trio, comprising "Roxy (vocals & guitar - also of Joanna Gruesome, Towel and Two White Cranes, formerly of Trust Fund), Owen (vocals & guitar - also of Joanna Gruesome and Caramel) and Jake (drums - also of Grubs)", are to release 11 tracks (totalling 18 minutes) this autumn.
Despite being based in Bristol, the band actually live much further afield, travelling the rails to make it work - but clearly the time and effort has resulted in something pretty specials. If you like your indie-pop full of jangles and lo-fi guitars and trembling beats and endearing harmonies, then get your chops round this lump of noise.
It Must Be Grubs is out 11 September via Reeks of Effort and Tuff Enuff. You can pre-order it on Bandcamp now.
