Grouplove to play churches, schools and hotels on upcoming tour
Dance-rock outfit, Grouplove will celebrate their upcoming new album release with a rather left-field touring schedule.
The band will release their second studio effort to date, Spreading Rumours, on 17 September – following on from 2011′s Never Trust A Happy Song.
Beginning their North American tour a week prior, the group will play two nights in each city along the way – with one gig in a club venue and one in a more low-key intimate one. As Rolling Stone note, some of these latter venues include churches, schools and hotels.
“We’re going to have to learn to restrain a little bit in our acoustic shows,” frontman Christian Zucconi told the publication. “With our electric shows, we’re all thrashing around. It’d be nice to finally approach some songs to do really beautifully.”
