Grimes contributes items from 2021 Met Gala outfit to Resistance For Ukraine benefit auction
Grimes has donated items from her 2021 Met Gala look to the Resistance For Ukraine benefit auction that aims to "support Emergency Response & BIPOC families (black, indigenous, and people of colour) in and out of Ukraine."
Grimes is one of 50 artists that has donated works to the Resistance For Ukraine benefit auction, which closes on 26 May. Each piece "offers a unique interpretation of the theme "resistance"", and all proceeds from the auction will be donated to Diaspora Relief and Razom to help provide food, shelter, and evacuation support.
For the auction, Grimes has contributed her CHRISHABANA x Dune Harkonnen Mask and the silver elf ear cuffs that she wore for last year's Met Gala.
She wrote on Instagram, "Hey guys - I’m auctioning stuff from my Met Gala look last year to raise money to help get BIPOC families out of Ukraine since they’re having trouble exiting at the border."
