
Grimes collaborator i_o has died aged 30
EDM producer and Grimes collaborator i_o, real name Garrett Falls Lockhart, died aged 30 on Monday (23 November).
News of i_o's death was confirmed via his Twitter yesterday (24 November), just four days after the release of his latest single "Castles In The Sky".
The statement posted to the DJ and producer's Twitter reads: "On Monday, November 23rd, the world lost a beautiful soul, Garrett Falls Lockhart, also known as i_o."
"This extremely talented spirit taught us that even if nothing matters, you can still lead with love," the statement adds. "Garrett's truth and soul lives on through the music he shared."

Just over a year ago i_o collaborated with Grimes on her Miss Anthropocene album track "Violence".
Deadmau5 paid tribute to his former Mau5trap label signing on Twitter, writing, "Going to miss you my dude, it was a real pleasure working with you and watching you succeed... may you find rest, and let your music live on into eternity."
