US pop punk kings Green Day are headlining Hyde Park next summer as part of the annual British Summer Time series.
Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool are the first names confirmed for British Summer Time's fifth birthday extravaganza, with many, many more acts to come across two weekends.
The band will be headlining the London festival on 1 July 2017. Tickets go on sale 7 October.
“London in the summer, us and tens of thousands of fans having the biggest party in one of the world's most legendary venues," says Armstrong. "We have the best year to look forward to and this has just made it extra special.”
This year's series saw gigantic sets from the likes of Massive Attack, Kendrick Lamar, Florence and The Machine, Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Mumford and Sons, and Take That, as well as full supporting lineups.
