GRACEY reworks Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape" into anthem about pubs reopening
BRIT nominee GRACEY has reworked Gwen Stefani's huge hit "The Sweet Escape" into an anthem about the pubs reopening in England on TikTok.
Following the release of her first single of 2021 "Got You Covered" earlier this month, GRACEY has shared a fun rework of Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape", with lyrics about lockdown restrictions easing in England, with particular focus on the reopening of pubs.
The 34-second video, which she shared on TikTok and uploaded on Twitter this afternoon (19 April), sees GRACEY sing, "Pubs are open again / So yes it's been a heavy weekend." GRACEY even replicates the fast pre-chorus from Stefani's original, singing, "And we were getting the drinks in like never before / Soon as we ordered one we would order one more / Because who fucking knows about lockdown four." Check out the full rework below.
