Godspeed, Mac DeMarco, Rhye & more among Polaris Prize longlist
Canada’s Polaris Prize have unveiled the longlist for this year’s award and, in doing so, prove why they’re one of the best musical nations in the world.
The annual accolade is given to what the Polaris panel deem to be the best album made in the last 12 months by any Canadian artist, regardless of genre. Among this year’s nominations are Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mac DeMarco, Daphni, Majical Cloudz, Metric, METZ, Rhye, Purity Ring, Tegan and Sara, plus more.
