Glimpse blood, sweat and glitter in the new video from Perfume Genius
“Grid” has been selected as the next single from Perfume Genius’ new record, Too Bright, with a video directed by Charlotte Rutherford.
Crammed with interpretive dance theatrics and tight silver morphsuits, Mike Hadreas’ new video is an oddball escapade with glittery steaks, blood and elaborate choreography. Brilliant, then.
Hadreas said this about the album: “A lot of these songs are me trying to claim some power in situations that would typically depress or alienate or victimize me. Also, no matter how good I feel there is a darkness hanging, which I don’t agree with - giving it a voice is an attempt at freeing it so it can potentially dissipate”.
