Glastonbury ETC 2017 Shortlist Announced
Glastonbury Festival has announced the acts that have made the shortlist for their 2017 Emerging Talent Competition.
The eight acts to make the shortlist were selected by Glastonbury judges from a longlist of 120 artists compiled by 40 of the UK's best online music writers choosing their selections from thousands of entries.
Competing for a slot on one of Glastonbury's main stages, the acts that made the shortlist are Flohio, Josh Barry, Lilith Ai, Lucas & King, Silences, Tyni, WOWH, and Young Yizzy. They will all perfom in an invite-only live final on 22 April.
"Each year, we are blown away by the sheer amount of great music that’s being made by new, upcoming artists in the UK and Ireland," organiser Emily Eavis commented of the competition. "There really is so much talent out there, and it certainly wasn’t easy to narrow it down to just eight finalists. But we’ve ended up with a really strong list of acts and I can’t wait to see them all perform at the live final."
