Glass Animals look to find hope in trauma on new track "Youth"
Glass Animals have shared the mesmerising video for new single "Youth", the latest taste of their upcoming second album.
This new track follows lead single "Life Itself" in previewing the album - this new video for "Youth" picks up where "Life Itself" left off. Neil Krug directs the video - he's been on hand for all the visual aspects.
Veering away from the abstract sentiments of debut ZABA, new LP How To Be A Human Being is full of real stories and true tales that the band picked up while on tour.
“Someone told me a story about her son once that was one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard," says Bayley of "Youth". "What she said was completely heartbreaking, but she told it with such optimism and such a sense of calm. She was on the verge of crying, but she was also smiling and something in her face said that she had found a way to be happy again. This song is trying to get at that sentiment.”
How To Be A Human Being is released 26 August via Caroline/Wolf Tone. Read our Q&A with Bayley and find out what else you can expect from the record.
Glass Animals tour the UK and Europe this autumn - for more details, head to their website.
