Githead announce new single "Not Coming Down"
Post-punk "supergroup" Githead - Colin Newman (Wire), Malka Spigel and Max Franken (Minimal Compact) and Robin Rimbaud (Scanner) - are releasing a new single ahead of their upcoming LP's release.
"Not Coming Down" will be the second release from Waiting On A Sign, and serves as an aperitif for fans new and old as they are set to perform their first live show in half a decade.
Newman said of the record's creation: "How the material turned out is at least in part because there was no plan as regards the actual music. The time in the studio was simply the frame; there was no discussion at all as to what kind of thing we'd be playing."
They will perform for the first time in at DRILL:Brighton, the Wire-curated extravaganza taking place 4-7 December.
