George Ezra covers Cyndi Lauper in the Live Lounge

19 September 2014, 11:15 | Written by Laurence Day

En vogue Bristol-via-Hertford folk artist George Ezra, while pluggin' new single "Blame It On Me", performed a stripped-back version of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" on the Live Lounge yesterday.

He's also got a few very sold-out tour dates coming up in October. You might be able to beg, borrow or steal entry.

Have a listen to the vaguely pensive rendition, and hear his baritone pipes croon out, not totally uncreepily: "Ezra just wants to have fun..."

Check out the video of the performance and the pore over the tour dates below.

October

16 - Metropolitan University, Leeds
17 - University, Newcastle
18 - Queen Margaret Union, Glasgow

24 - O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London
25 - Institute, Birmingham
26 - University Solus, Cardiff
