Fred again.. and Joy Anonymous rework Brittany Howard's "Stay High"
Brittany Howard has shared a new version of her debut solo album track "Stay High", which has been reworked by Fred again.. and Joy Anonymous.
Howard originally released "Stay High" in July 2019 as the second single from her debut solo album Jaime, and today (2 March) it's been remixed by Fred again.. and Joy Anonymous, with an updated title of "Stay High again..".
She says of the remix, "When I was approached about doing my first dance remix of a song, I was excited to give it a shot as it was something completely different than anything else that had been done for the Jaime Remix project. What Fred again.. and Joy Anonymous created from "Stay High" is not only fun to dance to, it is really creative, inspired and most importantly emotional."
Howard added, "They even figured out a way to sneak samples from two other songs off the album!"
Fred again.. writes of the remix in the YouTube description, "Soooooo me and my two actual home sharing brothers did a tune a couple weeks back that I’ve got a lotttttt of lovely messages about when it’s coming. And the answer is now. The answer is today. The answer is yes guys. Brittany Howard is a rare, rare specimen and it was an honour to be able to make summin like this with her. Also by quite some way the most enjoyable music video I’ve ever made. If Carlsberg did content...."
