Four packets of Spice Girls crisps are available on Ebay for the bargain price of £99
Ebay often has some utterly bizarre items for sale, but this lot must rank among the strangest. Four packets of promotional crisps featuring four of the five Spice Girls (alas, no Sporty), going for the princely sum of £99. At least.
You've got the chance to recouperate some of the dollar, however, as there's a chance that these crisps contain a crisp £5 note - though chances are it won't actually be legal tender. The crisps - Quavers, Doritos, Monster Munch and Prawn Cocktail Walkers - are promoting the chance to win "a spicy £100,000", but don't hold out hope on finding a winning packet. The comp closed 2 June 1998.
One of the most glaring errors is clearly putting Scary Spice on the Quavers - Monster Munch? Scary Spice? C'mon Walkers.
If you fancy placing a cheeky bid, head here. If you can afford to shell out for these, then good luck to you.
Probably best you don't ever chow down on these if you do win - the BBE date is listed as 27 December 1997.
