London-based folk outfit PicaPica have announced their debut EP Spring & Shade and shared new single "Small Time/Secret".
PicaPica, led by duelling frontwomen Pica One and Pica Two (real names Josienne Clarke and Samantha Whates), is a full-band collaboration from two acoustic stalwarts with Adam Beattie and Sonny Johns. Though Clarke and Whates have appeared and worked together on a number of occasions, PicaPica is the first 'proper' excursion as a unified project.
Johns (a Grammy and MOBO-nominated producer) has recorded and mixed the short-player, which will be getting a limited edition 10" release in the new year.
The Spring & Shade EP is out 8 December via Rough Trade. You can pre-order it now.
