Florence Welch, Jeff Tweedy and more feature on new volume of For The Birds compilation

The Birdsong Project has unveiled volume two of their For The Birds compilation, which features a variety of song and spoken word contributions from Florence Welch, Jeff Tweedy and many more.

Following the release of For The Birds: The Birdsong Project Volume I last month featuring Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, Kurt Vile, Karen O, Alaska Reid and A. G. Cook, and many more, the second volume of the 242-song, 20xLP project has arrived.

For The Birds: The Birdsong Project Volume II features various song contributions from Jeff Tweedy, Elvis Costello, The Flaming Lips, Mary Lattimore, Calexico, Douglas Dare and EERA, Girlpool, Cosmo Sheldrake and more, as well as spoken word pieces by Florence Welch, Robert Pattinson, Jeff Goldblum, Matthew McConaughey and others.

Proceeds from sales of the For The Birds collection and supporting events will be donated to the National Audubon Society, a nonprofit environmental organisation dedicated to conservation of birds and their habitats.

For The Birds: The Birdsong Project, Volume II is out now. The 20xLP boxset will be released 12 September, and is available to pre-order now.
