Flaming Lips, Glass Animals, Crystal Fighters, and more to play Wilderness festival 2016
The first acts for Wilderness 2016 have been confirmed, with psych legends the Flaming Lips leading the pack.
The Wayne Coyne-led group will be performing their record The Soft Bulletin in full at the gala, while Robert Planet and The Sensational Space Shifters will headline.
Speaking about the festival, Plant says: “In recent times The Space Shifters and I have found a natural home for our music in beautiful places that ofter carry their own unique resonance… I know the Wilderness Festival is one of those places and I’m really looking forward to summoning our madness there…"
Glass Animals, Crystal Fighters, Rosie Lowe, Shura, Tourist, Goldie, Parov Stellar, Lianne La Havas, Matt Corby, and loads more have also been announced.
There's also set to be a full programme of food, theatre, arts, dance, talks, and comedy events to look forward to - with more unusual festival activities like archery, script workshopping, and a pop-up opera also on the cards.
Wilderness 2016 takes place 4-7 August at Oxfordshire's Cornbury Park.
