Flaming Lips covers Sparklehorse for upcoming tribute album

A new tribute album to late Sparklehorse frontman Mark Linkous is currently being funded by crowdsourcing. But before it surfaces, you can listen to one of the tracks to appear on the release.

As well as Mercury Rev, Mark Lanegan, The Joy Formidable, Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle, Phantogram, Portugal. the Man and more, The Flaming Lips have also contributed to the project.

Linkous passed away back in 2010. Money raised from the project will go towards helping awareness for mental health conditions.
