FKA Twigs shares issue two of her "Instagram digizine"
FKA Twigs has unveiled the second edition of her "Instagram digizine" AVANTgarden - this one's named "Dream Warrior".
FKA Twigs describes the new project as a "way for me to express myself without any rules or guidelines, with imagination and care."
Last month she shared the first issue of the digizine titled "ROOTS. SHOCK. BEAUTY.", which was described as a "visual exploration of braided hair styles". This second issue features FKA Twigs teaming up with friends and collaborators as she sets an original poem to images.
The digizine also previews a new collection of merch (including pyjamas, pins, tees, shorts, and an eye mask), available now from her online store.
"I've always worn my mother’s silk PJs on stage from my very first tour, but they wore out so I wanted to make some of my own," Twigs says. "I'm also obsessed with sets and bold prints and, through my exploration of mysticism, I created symbols that protect and invite otherworldly creatures to assist those who wear the sets in their everyday lives. More than anything I wanted people who wear the PJs out into the world to know they know that they look the bomb, even in sleepwear, cause that's just how they roll."
