High-profile collaboration FFS, formed of Sparks and Franz Ferdinand, have unveiled their paranoid symphony "Collaborations Don't Work".
It's a changeable 6:42 of noise with flippant shifts between genres, paces, moods and styles, giving it an immensely paranoid feel and no anchor to reality. One minute it's a dusty '60s folk charmer, then it's an operatic '80s power ballad, then a rabble-rousing Broadway hit, then a slinky electro sizzler. Perhaps the whirlwind of contrasting sonic experiments is the final irony the title implies.
FFS' self-titled album is set for release via Domino on 8 June.
