Female-led radio station foundation.fm to launch next week

Aiming to showcase emerging underground talent, foundation.fm is fronted by a diverse group of women, LGTBQI+ persons, and talented creatives.

Becky Richardson (Co-Founder of National Radio promotions company Ghost Promo, Artist Manager at UROK Management), Ami Bennett (Executive Producer at Somethin' Else, leading on R1, 1Xtra and Asian Network) and Frankie Wells (Former Exec Producer at Radar Radio & Team Assistant at Capital Xtra & BBC Radio 1Xtra) all founded foundation.fm, which is hoping to take flight from next Monday.

The London-based station will run from 10am-10pm online Monday-Friday, and their shows take into account the schedules of those in creative jobs.

Instead of having a 6am wake-up show like most radio stations, the morning "Brunch Show" will run from 10am-1pm with host Kamilla (Boiler Room & BBC Radio 1Xtra producer), meaning those in creative jobs not working 9am-5pm can enjoy artists coming onto the show for a morning chat without losing out on sleep.

Their rush-hour slot show from 5-7pm will be hosted by Ellie Prohan (Full-time DJ & Host, ex-drive time presenter on The Beat FM), and called the "Happy Hour", to relate to those either finishing work and school, those enjoying some social downtime, and even those who are just happy to have a chill.
