Father John Misty airs poignant visuals for new single "Two Wildly Different Perspectives"
Father John Misty has shared new single "Two Wildly Different Perspectives" from upcoming third record Pure Comedy.
The track comes with visuals by Matthew Daniel Siskin. The clip sees children playing with toy guns, presenting news segments, and discussing policy (maybe), with shots of a Call Of Duty-esque shooter and genuine firearms and mixed in. It's a particularly resonant video this week.
Misty wrote on Facebook when revealing the video: "More kids are going to die now thanks to the unbelievably selfish immigration policy of places like Saudi Arabia and the USA."
The new single follows lead cut "Pure Comedy", Misty's looong essay, and a 25-minute short film.
