This competition represents the first foray into such a venture and those who submit re-mixes will feature on a special Soundcloud box on David Karsten Daniel’s whilst FatCat’s favourite take on the track will be hosted on the DKD and FatCat myspace pages for a month and the entrant will be sent a goody bag of FatCat releases. Here David Karsten Daniels sums up why he chose ‘Smoke’ for the competition and why we are all excited to see the results:
“I choose Smoke for the remix comp because it was a track I could see remixers taking in several very different directions. The original has so many different layers, any of which could be removed, magnified or whatever. It will be interesting to see what people come up with…”
