Faber Social announces pop-up shop for 8 October
Faber Social, the music wing of Faber & Faber is joining with Natalie Galustian Rare Books for a pop-up shop.
It will open 8 October and will be home to an exhibition from Andrew Weatherall and, later in November, 'the sixth member of Radiohead', Stanley Donwood.
Lee Brackstone, Creative Director of Faber Social, has said:
"The Faber Social pop-up is a great way for us to draw attention to an area of Faber's publishing that is growing in strength and stature. Publishing twelve new titles per year, the Faber Social list is comparable in energy and calibre to that of our film list which helped make the Faber brand outstanding in the mid 90s. And like those titles, these books are poised to be future classics. It's so exciting to have a physical space in the heart of bookselling London to experiment and express ourselves directly to readers."
In terms of what's on offer, the Cecil Court pop-up will feature "recent and forthcoming titles by the likes of Ian Curtis, Van Morrison, Viv Albertine, Julian Cope, Simon Reynolds, Bob Stanley and many others, alongside a select number of titles from Faber's fiction, poetry and film lists. Close to 100 titles will be on offer including many signed and limited editions."
