Evan Voytas: ‘Tomorrow Night We’ll Go Anywhere’
Commissioned by SHOWstudio for Italian Vogue, the video for Evan Voytas’ debut EP title track, ‘Tomorrow Night We’ll Go Anywhere’, is likely to excite for reasons beyond the hazy electronics and delectably dreamy atmospherics. A collaboration between nostalgia infusing expert Jamie Harley and SHOWstudio’s Nick Knight, the subtle melody is accompanied by a modern, industrial aesthetic…oh and a teasing, sultry and underwear-flashing Kate Moss.
Originally designed for a series of fashion videos, Harley realised that the footage seemed to perfectly match Voytas’ intimate pop soundscape. And so, illuminated by car lights, the super model poses and sways to the delicately crafted, surging concoction of beats, synths and silky vocals. Visually transporting us to an unsettlingly unrecognisable location, the light from the car beams seems to flicker on and off; illuminating only partial glances of the fashion icon. Such voyeuristic and yet artistic cinematic aesthetics, when paired with the LA-based, Cascine-signed Voytas, make for an incredibly compelling 3 minutes and 4 seconds.
