Enjoyed details psych-dance debut Keep To Chloe, unveils first two singles [Premiere]
If you like your pop oozing with psychedelic digressions, dreamy vocals and chewy layers, this double-tap of tracks from Enjoyed, "K Special" and "Paws Out", should liven you up this drizzly Monday morn.
Peter Evans-Pritchard, the producer behind Enjoyed, has announced his long-awaited debut record, Keep To Chloe, and these tracks are the first offerings from it, following a string of EPs and one-offs.
Speaking about "K Special", he said "this one is proper purple jam for me", adding that "lots of different noises and chords and melodies [are] coming together and shuffling along to a groove I came up with during a session on the drums. Probably my favourite use on idiomatic sampling as well."
Continuing, explaining the beginnings of "Paws Out", Evans-Pritchard said: "This started out as a song for my dog that was released on my first EP. I came back to it for the album though, washed off the mud from the fur, gave it a haircut, a new collar and a shiny new coat."
Nodding to the likes of Animal Collective, Delorean and Hot Chip, Enjoyed's new material dives into immensely danceable sounds that aim to transport both your mind and body - this is music to lose yourself in.
Keep To Chloe is out via Something In Construction on 4 September.
