Emily Eavis thanks Glastonbury attendees for taking their tents home
Emily Eavis has thanked Glastonbury campers for taking their tents home and reducing waste.
This year's Glastonbury banned the sale of single-use plastics in a hope to reduce waste, as well as urging attendees to not urinate on the ground, and encouraging them to take their tents and belongings home at the end of the festival.
Emily Eavis, co-organiser of the Worthy Farm festival, has taken to Twitter to send her thanks to all the attendees that cleaned up after themselves, "Just heard that 99.3% of all tents were taken home. That is absolutely incredible… HUGE thanks to the record numbers who loved the farm and left no trace!"

Although Eavis is celebrating another successful year, Twitter users have shared their opinions of the campsites, and it looks like there's still a long way to go.
Cannot believe that even after seeing this legend on stage, everyone still left their litter everywhere. What a shameful species we are. We only have ONE planet, people! Pick up your shit! #Glastonbury #Glastonbury2019 https://t.co/K9sRPElnLf

My daughter just sent me this picture of how a group left their area at #GlastoFest this morning. Do I really need to say anything about the environment? pic.twitter.com/Qth8mKleZ1
