Emeralds announce Mark McGuire has left the band
Electronic outfit Emeralds have announced that one of their three members, Mark McGuire has left the band.
McGuire, one of the founding members, had recently spent a lot of time working on solo material, including the Surrogate Channels EP.
The group’s Steve Hauschildt made the announcement earlier today via Twitter.
Hauschildt wrote:
“It is with much regret that I announce Mark McGuire is no longer a member of Emeralds. We wish him only the best of luck.”
Before tweeting again that they’ll continue as a twopiece:
“Emeralds will continue on as a duo consisting of myself and John. Thank you so much for your continued support over the last seven years.”
The new duo will tour worldwide later this year.
