Elliott Smith 10 year memorial concerts to take place in four U.S cities
With the 10 year anniversary of Elliott Smith’s sad passing approaching in October, the late songwriter’s estate – the Friends and Family of Elliott Smith – are set to host four separate benefit concerts during August in memory of the singer.
Each concert will raise money for a different charity local to that area, with the first taking place in his hometown of Portland on 4 August, before gigs in his later home of Los Angeles on 6 August then Austin and New York later on 9 & 10 August.
Among the special guests at the events are Gus Van Sant (Portland), members of Grandaddy (Portland, Austin), Jon Brion (Los Angeles) and Mary Lou Lord (New York).
